Identity theft - the misappropriation of an individual's
identity, usually accomplished through stealing data such as
credit card details, passport numbers etc.
Imprinting
- the belief that, if you get into kids minds early enough,
you'll have them forever.
Internot
- one of the dwindling group of people in the world who has
yet to have their first online experience. Usually found in
places like the Papuan highlands or terminal care facilities.
Infotainment
- Television designed to entertain and inform. Usually winds
up being informative but dull or entertaining and factually
wrong - e.g. Walking with Dinosaurs. Sometimes known as Edutaiment.
Infomercial
- Something which masquerades as fact and then turns out to
be a sales pitch. Probably not a good way to sell as punters
usually feel stupid when the penny drops. In print media, sometimes
known as advertorials.
Irritainment
- entertainment that, despite being absolute crap, is compulsive
viewing. Much like most reality TV.
